Sweet Boondi Recipe : Ingredients Gram flour: 1&1/4 cup Water: ¾ cup Food color: orange & green (optional) Ghee for deep fry Chopped almonds- 1 tbsp Chopped pistachio: 1 tbsp Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp For sugar syrup: Sugar: 1&1/4 cup Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp Water: 1 cup Saffron strands: 2-3 Method: 1. Take a bowl add gram flour and add water in it and mix it well. 2. Put the batter aside for 15-20 minutes. After that, add in more water to adjust the consistency for a flowing consistency batter. 3. Now heat up ghee in high flame, once hot take boondijhara or normal jharaand keep it about 4 inches above the ghee and pour in some batter to the khara. 4. Let them cook for a minute. 5. Now clean the jhara& repeat the procedure to make some other boondis. 6. In last,Divide the batter in two different bowl and add orange color in one bowl & green color to another bowl and make boondis. 7. Once theboondis are ready, add almonds,pistachio and cardamom powder and mix it. 8. For sugar syrup: take a pan, add in the sugar and water and heat in medium flame. Once it gets boiling add saffron strands and cardamom powder in it. 9. Boil the syrup in medium flame until the small bubbles surfacing in the syrup turns into large bubbles and when a drop of syrup added to a bowl full of water settles. Turn off the flame, add in 1-1 ½tbsp of water and mix well. 10. Add in the boondi mixture and start mixing it bottom to top. 11. Eggless Chocolate Cake/Brownie! Ingredients: Dry Mix: Maida - 1 Cup Powder Sugar - 3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder - 1/4 Cup Baking Powder - 1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda - 1 1/2 Teaspoon Wet Mix: Curd - 1 Cup Oil - 1/2 Cup Chocolate+Vanilla Essence - 1/2 Teaspoon Chopped walnuts/Chocolate chips/Almonds Method: Take a Bowl with a seive placed above it. Add in Maida, Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder and soda. Sieve the mixture to get rid of lumps. After passing it through sieve, mix the dry Ingredients well and set aside. In another bowl, add curd and beat well for a minute. Then add in oil and vanilla+chocolate essence into the mix and incorporate well. Now add half of the Dry Mix into the curd mixture and mix well. Then add the rest and mix till it forms cake like consistency. Do not over mix. Now, pour the batter into pregreased Cake Tin. Sprinkle the batter with almonds/walnuts/tutti fruti or chocolate chips. Bake it in a pre heated oven for 30 to 35 minutes at 180°c on middle rack. Check with a toothpick after 30 minutes. Let the cake cool for 10 to 20 minutes before taking out of the mould. Serve Hot with Vanilla Ice-cream! WHAT IS A DRUMSTICK?! Drumsticks are long, bean-like vegetables, sometimes 30 – 45 cm long, that grow on very tall trees (Horseradish tree/Moringa Tree) in South India and some other states of India. They are incredibly healthy to eat, as are the leaves of the Drumstick trees. They are reminiscent of drumsticks and have a hard, green outer shell. There is an art to eating this vegetable!
