Tandoori aloo is one of the most favorite items for the tandoori lovers. It is also a good serve for tea parties. Ingredients : Baby Potatoes – 12 Hung curd – 1 c Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp Mustard Oil – 2 tbsp Turmeric Powder – 1tsp Coriander Powder – 3tsp Cumin Powder – 1tsp Kashmiri Red chili Powder – 2 tsp Garam Masala – 1tsp Amchur Powder – 1/4 tsp Besan – 2 tbsp Tomato paste – 2 tbsp Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp Salt – to taste Method :1. Boil baby potatoes with little salt in water. 2. Mix well hung curd, ginger garlic paste, mustard oil, turmeric powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, amchur 3. powder, black pepper powder, besan, tomato paste, kasoori methi and salt. 4. Add parboiled and peeled potatoes to the curd mixture, coat it well and marinate it in the refrigerator for half an hour. 5. Grill potatoes on a sheet in a preheated oven at 200 C for 15-20 minutes. 6. Grill the potatoes on both sides till they turn deep red in color. 7. When a crisp, ajwain flavored pakwaan is dunked in a bowl of creamy, delicious daal it creates all kinds of mushy sentiments. Try this for your Sunday brunch! Ingredients for Dal 1 cup chana dal 2 green chillies slitted 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1/4 tsp haldi/turmeric powder salt Ingredients for tempering 1 1/2 tbsp ghee 1 tsp cumin seeds 1/4 tsp asafoetida/hing 1 tsp red chilli powder Ingredients for Pakwan 2 cups maida/all purpose flour 1 tsp ajwain/carrom seeds 2 tbsp oil water to knead. salt Oil to deep fry For garnish and serving Chopped onions as needed Tamarind date chutney as needed Coriander leaves Green chutney Method 1. Soak the chana dal for 4 to 5 hours. 2. Pressure Cook the dal with slitted green chillies, turmeric and salt 3. Cook for 2 to 3 whistles or slow cooked until the dal is cooked well but not mushy. 4. Once done, release the pressure add garam masala powder and keep aside. 5. Heat ghee or oil in a pan ,once hot add hing/asafoetida then add jeera and red chilli powder 6.
